The second session of the Students Induction Programme (SIP) for the ITEP 2025–2029 Batch was held on 16 September 2025 in the Audio Visual Hall. The session, titled “Future Teacher Skills in the AI Era,” was handled by Mr. Mohamed Jabir P.K., Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science.
Mr. Jabir focused on the emerging role of teachers in an AI-driven educational landscape. Through live demonstrations, he introduced the participants to a range of AI tools that are reshaping teaching, learning, and assessment processes. The session provided hands-on exposure to how artificial intelligence can support lesson planning, content creation, and personalized learning experiences.
He also led an insightful discussion on future opportunities available to teachers who effectively integrate technology into their pedagogical practices. Emphasizing adaptability and digital literacy as essential competencies for educators, he encouraged the ITEP students to approach technology as a partner in innovation rather than a challenge.
The session was highly informative and engaging, helping prospective teachers understand how AI can be leveraged to enhance classroom experiences and to prepare for the future of education.
