The fifth session of the Students Induction Programme (SIP) for the ITEP 2025–2029 Batch was conducted on 22 September 2025 in the Audio Visual Hall. The session, titled “Key to Happiness,” was led by Ms. Fidha V., a prospective teacher from the ITEP – Physics stream.
The session explored the concept of happiness as a vital component of personal well-being and professional growth, particularly in the teaching profession. Using a blend of talk, narration, and storytelling methods, Ms. Fidha guided participants through a reflective journey on discovering and sustaining happiness in everyday life.
The main themes discussed during the session included:
- States of Happiness – Understanding happiness as a dynamic and evolving emotional state influenced by internal attitudes and external circumstances.
- Why & How of Happiness – Exploring the reasons behind the pursuit of happiness and identifying simple, mindful practices to achieve emotional balance and contentment.
Through captivating stories and real-life examples, Ms. Fidha illustrated how happiness contributes to positive teaching-learning environments and enhances the emotional resilience of teachers. The participatory tone of the session encouraged students to reflect on their own sources of joy and gratitude.
The session concluded with an open reflection, where participants shared their personal interpretations of happiness and how they could integrate it into their future teaching practice. It was an inspiring and heartwarming experience that reminded everyone that true happiness lies in purpose, compassion, and meaningful connections.
