Faculty Development Programme: “From Chalk to Clicks”

The Department of Education, Majlis College (Autonomous), organised a Faculty Development Programme titled “From Chalk to Clicks” for its faculty members and students with the objective of familiarising them with technology-enabled teaching practices.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the gathering and the resource person by the student leader, Adithya Ganesh. The technical session was handled by Mr. Mohamed Jabir, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Majlis College, who delivered a highly engaging and demonstrative session on transforming classroom teaching from traditional chalk-based methods to digital pedagogy using the Interactive Panel and supportive educational software. The session provided practical insights into effective classroom integration of digital tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Following the session, the Head of the Department, Dr. Naseerali M.K., presented the certificate of appreciation to the resource person in recognition of his valuable contribution. The programme concluded with concluding remarks and a vote of thanks by Ameesha V. Manoj, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, organisers, and participants for making the programme a success.

The programme was informative and impactful, equipping both faculty and students with essential digital teaching competencies aligned with contemporary educational practices.
