On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Department of Education at Majlis Arts and Science College organized various cultural programmes presented by students. As part of the celebration, a legal awareness session was also conducted in collaboration with the Tirur Taluk Legal Services Committee.
Advocate Sabina P.M., Panel Lawyer of the Tirur Taluk Legal Services Committee, led the awareness class focusing on important legal issues such as domestic violence, the POCSO Act, and the Dowry Prohibition Act. She explained key legal aspects that women and children should be aware of.
The awareness programme held at the AV Hall of the college began with a welcome address by student representative Afnita Febin, while Shibil Sherin, another student representative, delivered the vote of thanks.
The cultural programmes organized as part of the Women’s Day celebrations were inaugurated by Principal Dr. Muhammed Kutty Kakkukunnan. Dr. Naseerali M.K., Head of the Department of Education, presided over the function. Assistant Professor Soumya A.K. delivered the welcome address. Prof. P. Shanthakumari and Aayishath Sufaina offered felicitations. Shafrin Ali, D.El.Ed Coordinator of Majlis College, proposed the vote of thanks.
