Contributed Three Wheel Chairs towards NSS Initiative “Sneha Sparsham”

The Department of Education (ITEP), Majlis Arts and Science College (Autonomous), actively contributed to the NSS Unit’s noble initiative “Sneha Sparsham”, aimed at donating 100 wheelchairs to needy individuals and institutions associated with the college.

As part of this social outreach programme, the students and staff of Majlis ITEP collectively mobilized funds for one wheelchair, demonstrating strong teamwork and social responsibility. In addition, Ms. Rushda (student) and Dr. Naseerali M.K., Head of the Department, individually contributed funds for one wheelchair each. Thus, a total of three wheelchairs were sponsored by the Department of Education.

The fund collected for the three wheelchairs was formally handed over to the NSS Unit through the Director of the College, Mr. Noushad N. The amount was received by the NSS Programme Officer, Mr. Sunesh P., who appreciated the sincere effort and collective commitment shown by Majlis ITEP. He also noted that this contribution marked the highest number of wheelchairs donated by a single class in the college under the Sneha Sparsham initiative.

Sharing his views on the occasion, Dr. Naseerali M.K. remarked that although Majlis ITEP is a newly introduced programme with a comparatively smaller student strength, the wholehearted involvement of its students and staff reflects a strong sense of empathy and social consciousness. He expressed confidence that this initiative would inspire other departments to actively participate and extend greater support to Sneha Sparsham.

The initiative stands as a meaningful example of community engagement, compassion, and institutional responsibility, reinforcing the core values upheld by Majlis Arts and Science College.
