The sixth session of the Students Induction Programme (SIP) for the ITEP 2025–2029 Batch was held on 23 September 2025 in the Audio Visual Hall. The session, titled “Bridging Minds – The Magic Process of Communication,” was conducted by Mr. Abhilash K. and Mr. Sreejith K., Assistant Professors from the Department of Media and Communications at Majlis Arts and Science College.

The programme began with an introduction by Dr. Naseerali M.K., Professor & Head, Department of Education, who welcomed the resource persons and students. Dr. Naseerali highlighted the significance of communication skills in teacher education, stressing that effective communication is the foundation for meaningful classroom interactions, collaborative learning, and professional growth.

The session commenced with an interactive activity designed to illustrate the impact of communication errors in different mediums and pathways. Students experienced firsthand how miscommunication can disrupt understanding and affect relationships.

Following the activity, the resource persons guided participants through an exploration of essential communicative skills, including clarity, active listening, empathy, and non-verbal communication. The session emphasized that teachers, as facilitators of learning, must master these skills to bridge minds and foster mutual understanding.

Through practical exercises and discussions, students learned how communication is not just the transmission of messages but a transformative process that creates connections, understanding, and engagement in educational contexts.

The session concluded with reflections on applying these skills in classroom teaching and professional interactions, leaving participants with a deeper appreciation for communication as a powerful and magical tool in education.
