The Department of Education (Integrated Teacher Education Programme – ITEP), Majlis Arts and Science College (Autonomous), organized a Workshop on Video Editing under the banner of the Technological Empowerment Training Program (TETP) on 20 January 2025. The programme aimed to enhance the digital and media competencies of ITEP students by familiarizing them with contemporary video editing practices.
The session commenced with a welcome address by the Class Leader, Mr. Adithya Ganesh, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons, and participants. This was followed by introductory remarks by Dr. Naseerali M.K., Head of the Department, who highlighted the relevance of video editing skills in modern teaching–learning processes and formally welcomed the resource persons, Mr. Kamil Mubaraq and Mr. Muhammad Thanif, students of B.A. Visual Communications, Department of Media and Visual Communications, Majlis College.
The workshop featured an engaging and demonstrative session by the resource persons, who explained various video editing strategies using their previously successful works as live examples. They elaborated on the workflow timeline involved in video production, including planning, editing, sequencing, transitions, audio synchronization, and final rendering. Their practical approach enabled the participants to gain firsthand insight into professional video editing techniques and creative processes.
The interactive session was followed by a feedback segment, during which Ms. Rushda and Ms. Nida shared their valuable reflections on the usefulness and practical relevance of the workshop. They appreciated the clarity of presentation and the real-world examples demonstrated by the resource persons.


At the end of the programme, Dr. Naseerali M.K., HoD, Department of Education, distributed certificates to the resource persons in appreciation of their contributions. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Telna Rose, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, faculty members, and students for making the workshop a meaningful learning experience.
The workshop successfully met its objectives by empowering ITEP students with essential digital media skills, aligning with the broader goals of the Technological Empowerment Training Program.
