The Department of Education (ITEP), Majlis Arts and Science College, organized ‘LA FANATICO’, a vibrant Shootout Competition and Face Painting Contest, on 29 June 2026 in the department auditorium from 2.00 PM to 4.30 PM as part of the celebrations of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The festivities began with a Face Painting Competition at 1.00 PM in the classroom, where ten students, representing and supporting different FIFA World Cup teams, creatively painted their faces with the colours and symbols of their favourite nations. The event showcased the students’ creativity, enthusiasm, and passion for football while adding a festive atmosphere to the celebration.
The Shootout Competition commenced at 2.00 PM in the department auditorium and was formally inaugurated by the Head of the Department of Education. Students representing football giants such as Argentina, Portugal, Brazil, France, and other participating nations enthusiastically competed in the penalty shootout event. The competition was marked by excitement, energetic cheering, and exemplary sportsmanship. After a series of closely contested rounds, the Argentina supporters emerged as the champions of the competition.
The programme concluded with the distribution of appreciation to the participants and a group photo session, capturing the memorable moments of the celebration. LA FANATICO successfully brought together the spirit of football, creativity, teamwork, and healthy competition, making the World Cup celebration a memorable experience for the students of the Department of Education.
