The B.Com. B.Ed. Department conducted the morning assembly, “Prabhat Vedi,” on 16 September 2026 as part of the regular departmental activities. The programme was organized with the aim of developing students’ confidence, awareness, communication skills, vocabulary, general knowledge, and sense of social responsibility. The assembly also provided students with an opportunity to actively participate in various activities and enhance their presentation skills.
The programme was hosted by Shafna Nasrin, who welcomed the gathering and coordinated the different segments of the assembly.
The assembly began with a prayer presented by the Prayer Team, creating a peaceful, positive, and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. This was followed by the pledge led by Riya, which reminded the students of their duties, responsibilities, and commitment towards the nation.
The next segment was the Speciality of the Day, presented by Safa N., which focused on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, observed on 16 September. The importance of the ozone layer in protecting life on Earth from harmful ultraviolet radiation was highlighted. The students were also made aware of the need for environmental conservation and responsible actions to protect the atmosphere.
Following this, the Thought of the Day was presented by Nadha T. P. The thought provided the students with a meaningful message for reflection and motivation, encouraging them to develop positive attitudes and values in their daily lives.
The programme then continued with the Word of the Day, presented by Rakendu Vinod. A new word was introduced to the students along with its meaning and usage, helping to improve their vocabulary and communication skills.
The News Report was presented by Shamna, through which students were given an opportunity to stay informed about important current events and developments. The presentation helped promote awareness of events happening around them and encouraged students to follow current affairs.
As the Special Activity, an interactive quiz on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer was conducted by Shifna.The activity encouraged active participation among the students and made the learning experience more interesting and engaging. It also helped students improve their environmental awareness and general knowledge.
The assembly concluded successfully with a positive and informative learning experience for all the participants. The programme not only enhanced the students’ knowledge and awareness but also provided them with a platform to develop confidence, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
